    my first quilt top

Well I finished my first quilt top this past week end…been working on it for a while.

I think it turned out pretty good. Had to pin the squares to make sure they matched up, just didn't want to take the chance of have to rip out a lot of it as I went along.

Now to figure out the back an how to do the stitch in the ditch for this one…starting off with a simple quilting with the machine.

    thanks for looking

      Thank You so much Sheri!!!

I know some of the prints are a little to close to each other and I should have laid it out better before I sewed it but I'm pretty happy with it for the first go.

Now onward to the next step which makes me nervous…really don't want to mess up the quilting of it.

      Thanks again for looking

Camila, it looks great! I would not have known it was a first quilt, if you didn't say so. My first quilt had a lot of mis-matched seams and yours looks perfect! Keep on quilting - you really have a knack for it!

                thank You ilive2craft2.

i do have to say Jenny's tut's were a big help and I pinned and Pinned it again to make sure it stayed in place..LOL
Even ran a few of those quilting pins into my hands and fingers..they are sharp and had to stop for a bit to stop the bleeding before going on…LOL
but I'm ready to venture on!!!

                Thank You again

And so you should be happy, it's a great job. Here's a hint I've learned in the 7 months since I started: never point out design or stitching errors etc to family and friends because they never notice them until you do point them out.

I totally agree. Never point out anything to those around you. They will never see anything wrong. It is beautiful and that is what they will see. Dont worry about quilting. Jump right in you will do fine. Watch some youtube tutorials, i watch a lot of those plus my craftsy classes and while scary it works out ok

Now you have the quilting bug. Keep on quilting!

It's just perfect!! Now you need to create an album in your personal profile
May the road rise up to meet you...
May the wind be always at your back...
