Doing the happy dance!!

I finally got all my blocks done for my D9P!!! 42 of them, 13" square. Now to sew them all together!

This is for Monkey Man to use up at the lake. It makes it special not only because I am making it for him, but because his aunt, Helen, was at the fabric store the day I picked out the fabrics and she helped me. Her husband was Monkey Man's favorite uncle and by coincidence, they shared our anniversary. Sadly, Bob died last year.

I have been at it for just over a year because I would get bored with it. Worked on it a lot the past two days and already have two rows sewn together since noon.

I did.....I wanted manly, lakelike and woodsy.....blues and browns with some rusts thrown in. The dark blue is really cute fabric and I wish I had thought to buy enough to do the backing. It has a light blue design with fish and camping things on it.
