1st time making a dresden topper

Thought I would try to make one of these. Not the greatest but I tried. Just not sure about adding backing or how to do it. I am not really good at quilting yet, need lots more practice.

That's really cute Barbara! Love the 101 Dalmatian fabric - my girls loved them when they were younger

I'm working on my first Dresden, too. It's in 2 colors.. blue and white. I just got thru sewing 2 pieces together and there are 16 to each "plate". I hope mine turn out as cute as yours!!

Very nice, CraftyBarb! I used insulbrite (is that the right name?) and backing and sewed right sides together and turned it right sides out through the center circle and then topstitched the center circle piece to finish it. But I'm a newbie myself and was learning as I sewed. I am using them as hot pads so I wanted something pretty but also protective.
