Love them. Did you have a pattern, or did you invent these?

I love them! Hubby was just talking about fixing my quilting area up.. Which made my brain start thinking of fun things to make!

How cute! I just bought some square cork boards and this would be perfect. My bulletin board was too big. Thanks for sharing

Re: memo/inspiration boards for my sewing room

The inspiration for these came when I was looking up ideas for organizing my sewing room. Saw a picture of a room with 6 of these on the wall and loved it! I looked up a few tutorials, but pretty much went with what was in my head. After my hubby and I painted my room (citrus and orange peel ) I bought the fabric, some buttons, ribbon, and some thin foam board (I had batting... hehe) I basically cut the foam board to 15" (make them whatever size you like), then cut the batting and fabric about 2" bigger all around. I did trim the batting so that the fabric would be glued directly to the foam board and not just glued on top of the batting. Hot glue did the trick on these...
I placed the ribbon where I wanted it, put a few straight pins with heads to hold it in place while I turned it over to glue the ribbon (kinda hard to explain - not too difficult though) in place. Then I sewed the buttons down through all of the layers and VOILA! pretty little boards with not a ton of work; and custom too...
There are multiple ways to make these, just look up some videos and go with what you think will work best for you
Thanks so much for all of the positive responses - I'm very pleased with how these turned out. I think I'm actually going to just put Velcro strips on the wall and hang them that way - they are extremely lightweight... (if anyone has any other ideas for hanging I'm open to suggestions...)

Those turned out darling. For anyone who wanted a more finished look on the back, (say, for selling on etsy etc.) You can cut a cardboard piece the same size (or 1/4" smaller) than your finished board, cover it with fabric in a similar manner, then just glue it to the back so all the glued fabric edges are sandwiched in between.
