My Mom's Months of the Year Quilt!

Here is a cute pic of a quilt made by my mom.
It is a 12 block BOM by Art to Heart and has the months of the years with the names and years of birth of her 5 kids, 5 kids-in-laws and 24 grandkids!

Yes, she is fabulous! They are all machine appliqued and the names machine embroidered.
The book is called "Count On It" by Art To Heart by Nancy Halvorsen

And this may shock you all, she offered it to one of my sister-in-laws who declined it because it did not have her niece and nephew from her side of the family. I, of course, said that was crazy and I would love to have it! A week later there was a package on my doorstep and this was it! Lucky me!! My kids love it and snuggle with it all the time (that is why it is so wrinkled in the picture). But it is great - we always know which Aunts, Uncles or cousins have birthdays coming up!

How cute is that? How silly is your sister in law? She could have done another quilt for "her" side of the family and then have 2! Maybe she will be inspired to do one for her kids that have both sides of the family on one quilt.

Glad that the quilt found a good home in a quilt loving household!
