I thought l'd have a go at making pinwheels from the tutorial of jennys pinwheel tutorial where she sews around all 4 sides and then cuts the squares into 1/4's.
Good job! Weren't they fun? I'm in the middle of a pinwheel project myself, and apparently I'm not very good at making them - LOTS of trimming needed! But still fun :-).
There's still time to change the road you're on - Led Zeppelin, "Stairway to Heaven"
I made one of the pinwheel baby quilts featured on the Moda Bakeshop website using Jenny's method and it went together so fast. I had tons of fun making that little quilt. They look really good, Lisa. Pretty fabric. Keep going and make a quilt! I want to see it when it's done.
Goodbye Europe! Hello California! Home sweet home.
I used Jenny's tutorial to make a doll quilt. My dear friend was having a baby. She has a little girl who was really struggling with the idea of no longer being the baby. My friend bought a new doll and planned to give it to her when the baby came. I wanted to make a doll quilt to give her. I thought if the new baby had a new quilt that the new doll should have one too. I only had a few days and didn't want anything too complecated. I found Jenny's tutorial and thought the doll quilt was a perfect chance to try it out. The technique worked great and I think I made a little girl pretty happy.
