    Windmills and hugs

My friend has recently fallen off her horse and broken her back. She's going to be ok but for the moment she's had to move home to her mum's house and she has to spend a lot of time sitting around on the sofa. I've made her this quilt to cheer her up and keep her toasty warm until she can get up and about a bit.

It's the first quilt I've made without a pattern and I'm very proud of it. I even designed the quilting so it looks like spinning windmills on the back.

I hope it makes her smile.

sweet!! I love the half block designs...so easy to do and they look striking when you use contrasting fabrics...

It looks awesome!! How great that you didn't use a pattern! Your friend will be thrilled. (she's a lucky girl!)

Thanks everybody I'm really quite proud of it but now I have the problem of getting it to Tamara? She lives 400 miles away and there's a national postal strike - poop!
