Lessons learned making a Tea Cozy

I really like this type of Tea Cozy so after finding a pattern (with help from you ladies) I started. I used THIS pattern. If I had it to do over again I'd make a few changes...

    1) I would not make the cuts for the handle and spout so long.
    2) The slit for the spout would be just that - a slit not a pie shaped cut.
    3) The gather for the tie would be a little higher so it would sit just above the lid instead of below.

But I still really love it and am a bit proud of myself for putting it together so quickly.

I see your daffodil tea pot peeking out. I love daffodils. And your cozy is so cute.

Love it! I'll have to try it. It probably has long cutouts so that the tea won't spill on it and stain it. Most of them do have longer cutouts. You did great and it beautiful! Hugs, Jan

Thank you all. I didn't think of the long slits so you don't spill on it. That is probably the reason.

It is almost a crime to cover up the daffodil tea pot. But I was tired of cold tea. lol (I bought it on my one and only business trip to England back before I was a stay at home Mom. Managed to get it home all the way from Windsor. It sat in my lap on the plane home. )
