My current project is sewing re-usable sandwich/snack and shopping bags and selling them. 100% profits go to American Cancer Society's Central Vermont Relay for Life. It's my 6th year participating in the RFL. Once this project is done I can finally attempt my first quilting project. I think it will be a handbag based on MSQC's tote tutorial.

Re: Sewing for Charity
I think a charity section on the forum would be great - with links to places like the RFL, Ronald McDonald, hospitals, the pillowcase challenge, pillows for mastectomy centers, etc., centers for abused women, homelessSometimes, when there's a raging fire,
it's best not to try to put it out with gasoline.

Re: Sewing for Charity
Good Morning-
I think it is a great idea to list charity groups. Suzette- my mom and I recently started working with Quilts for Kids (our local chapter in Mass) and am loving it! They are looking for boy themed quilts so we care focusing our energies on those. I have 2 sons so I have plenty of leftover "guy" fabric that I am incorporating along with the fabrics they bring to the meetings.

Re: Sewing for Charity
Hi Everyone ,
I made a trip last year to a orphanage in Kenya, were i worked with the children for 2 weeks as a Volunteer,
as much as i would love to go back to the children it is very expensive , so this is a way of either raising funds
or sending quilts to them, hope i get the hang of quilting very quick , it could be the answer to helping the children.
