    First finished quilting project

This is my first quilting project! I used the dresden plate tool and Jenny's tutorial to make a turkey table runner. Since I also love to machine embroider, I added the wording in between the two turkey's (Gobble 'til you Wobble). I was happy with the outcome, but really tickled when my Daughter asked if she could have it for her new house! I hope the picture comes out ok - I think it took longer to figure out how to upload than it did to sew the runner

Thank you all for your kind comments! It makes me feel like I really can do this quilting thing!!!!

In regards to planning ahead - not really - I am just using some of the mountains of fabric that I have stashed. When I saw the turkey tutorial - I had just what I needed to do the project. I have also made 2 halloween runners - but they were only stitched in the ditch, so I didn't post them. I figured I need to use some of this fabric so that I don't feel guilty about buying the daily deal and all the other things on my MSQ list (not that I would really feel guilty for long - lol!)
