These are the blocks I have made for the Around the World Quilting Bee. It is my first swap and I am loving it so far. Thank you. We each made a starter block and then mailed it off to the next person. When you get the block you decide on a pattern and colors that you think will go well with the block, make it, and send it on. It is a lot of fun. I get to test out patterns and color ways that I would not normally use for myself. You can check out all of the blocks on the Fickr site if you have time. I have made 8 so far. There was a back up getting them out of Brazil, but that problem has been solved, and it looks like there is a big batch coming my way soon. I can hardly wait.

These blocks were made with patterns I found in the "Encyclopedia of Patchwork Blocks" books by From Marti Michell. I have volumes 1 & 2. They were about $10 each and have a ton of block patterns and design tips in them. She also includes full size paper templates for the block patterns. I LOVE these things! They have improved my quilting so much. I now have pointy points instead of ones that are eaten up by the seam allowances.
