    Boomerang Swap Quilt finally finished

Most of these blocks came from a boomerang swap on a different forum. They were not consistent in size so I used my new circle tool and this is the result. My proudest achievement is perfectly mitered corners. It went to its new owner today and she was tickled pink. Of course we are having high temps this week in CA. lol

That turned out gorgeous. I love the muted colors, so rich looking.

I also like the circle idea. That would work on orphan blocks for a Circle of Comfort quilt. I keep trying to think of something new to do on those.

Martina, you should be proud because this quilt is beautiful! I love how you used your circle tool and made your blocks your own too!

What a great idea to turn them into circles! I've done a few swaps in the past with blocks and have had to either add fabric or cut points off (WHAT?????!!!!) to get some of the blocks to fit. When you ask for 10" blocks and you get 6", 8", or 12" back thrown in the mix - well, you gotta do what you gotta do. I even had to put some on the back of the quilt. I have one more swap to put together and think I might use your idea - if you don't mind, that is.

              Hugs,

That is gorgeous. You did a beautiful job. I'm afraid of how it would have turned out had I been in the same situation. I love it!

The uniqueness of each block, the rich colours and the overall effect is absolutely stunning.
