Two of my favorite things, to encourage and to be encouraged hugs, Suzi http://suzi.mypremierdesigns.com/
it's what i do when i'm not here sewing with you GOD Bless America
I LOVE the Dresden....was always afraid to do it because it looked so hard. With the ruler, Jenny makes it look so easy, so my ruler is on the way. I can't wait!!
Awwww thank you so much for your kind compliments..... and I'll try to answer your questions.
They were sooooo incredibly simple to make. I watched Jenny's tutorial and as she said.... they are fun and adorable (love her word).
The darker one is from Kansas Troubles Favorite (and I'm making a quilt from that line.... I love it..... in Jenny speak, "It really is adorable."
The lighter one is from Luna Notte, which is so gorgeous.... I have one charm pack and I can make 4 dresden plates from the one charm pack. (just remember to save one charm square for each dresden plate to use as the center).
When I started making them I had no idea what I'd do .... but I've decided to use four of the KTs and piece them into the back of the quilt. The Luna Nottes, I'm going to think about..... I really love the dresden quilt that was displayed on the blog a couple of days ago.
I have a dozen projects in my brain but so far they are slow to bring into a tangible object.. lol
Thank you all for your encouragement. I came to the forum a true quilt virgin and all of you have been so kind and patient with all of my questions (and there have been many). You are the best of the best.

(boy aint that the darn truth !!)
You are doing a great job Mia. Congratulations. I just finished my blocks for the grandmothers fan that we used the dresden tool for. They are fast and fun. Hugs, Jan
Home, where each lives for the others and all live for God! ><(((((o>
You gals are getting me excited! I loved working on the desdan fan blocks and have made several of the block for the quilts I am making for my friends (using their dad's shirts). So much fun to do.
One question. When you are sewing them in the round - how many does it take? I reckon I could count, just lazy. I made a few last year and had a problem getting them to lie down still until I reworked them a bit. Gotta watch me on those 1/4 ' seams.
Sewing mends the soul.
