What have I been up to?? .....long and lots of pics...

I know it's been a while since I"ve posted regularly....sorry about that...but I have actually been busy!!

This is a quilt that I"m working on for my best friend's baby girl (Julia)....she's due on Thanksgiving and it's her first and only girl...after 3 boys...so I'm digging the pink and brown!!

I have also been doing a BOM at my LQS. It was $3 to sign up for a kit and you have to bring back your completed block each month to get the next kit or else you have to pay another $3. I am learning how to use Thangles each month to make blocks...I figured it was just a cheap and easy way to get a bunch of blocks done!! They provide the background (neutral) fabric and the thangles and I provide everything else. I'm only 3 months in...3 more to go...I'm also doing 2 kits each month so that I can do two quilts for my boys once the blocks are done...

these are my most recent projects...I didn't get pics of the stuff I"ve done for swaps and mailed out...bummer...but I"ve done tussie mussies....hot pads.....pin cushions.....it's been a fun summer....

Thangles are paper templates for sewing HSTs....I was going to write review for my blog on Thangles vs. Triangles On A Roll...which is another product that does virtually the same thing but through a different process....

What a cute girlie quilt - and it's not just baby but can be a drag-along until she has kids of her own! If it lasts that long. When I make a quilt for someone, I make it with hopes they will USE it and enjoy it. And the boys quilts - cool.. I ke the differnt blocks, and a cohesive color scheme. Great job

Love, love. love the pictures Shell!! Your quilts are awesome! I love that fabric for the baby girl...what a blast to get to sew with it, especially knowing how excited she will be to FINALLY have a girl!
Your boys are lucky, too! I love me some Minnick and Simpson and those blocks are awesome.
