Oooh pretty! Like those colors on your Dresden and everytime I look at the Christmas one, I keep picking out different blocks. I see stars and bow ties and 4 patches - I really like it.

    Hugs,

Love them! They are both awesome. I am like Trish, I see a different block every time I look at the Christmas throw top. What ideas do you have for quilting it?
I love the quilting lines radiating from the blades of the Dresdan. Was it a particular line of fabric that you used on it?
I have a partial collection of 'Boutique' that has just been calling my name to make it into a Dresden. I have such a hard time deciding what to use fabric for, as I love so many patterns. It's a partial fear that I will mess up and waste the fabric, but it's a waste just sitting here too. I am trying to get over that fear and my confidence is building little by little with everything that I try, just a long process.
Thanks so much for sharing, the inspiration is a big help for me.

it was a line but i don't remember. I have had it forever. have made two baby quilts and used the rest for the dresden. I am like you as well. I just started the summer in the park using the elementals collection woodland by RK and got about 8 sqaures done and thought it was taking away from the fabric. just didn't care for it so i am doing the pattern trade winds with it and love it. all that dark really stands out better

Patrice, your projects are beautiful! I'm so glad you took pictures! Did you hand quilt the Dresdens? The quilting is gorgeous, you should be really proud.

Wow, I'm even more impressed! I can't imagine my sewing machine (or the operator, lol) doing such perfect outlining around your Dresden blades. Hats off to you!

How lovely.... the Dresden plates are fab with the fabrics you picked out! I like your Christmas quilt too... can't wait to see what you decide for the quilting!
You know you've had too much coffee when you can thread a sewing machine while it's running.
