Re: new quilt from the big star tutorial by Jenny from MSQC

Thanks, Jenni. After I asked I felt a little foolish. 10" blocks, how hard is that math??
I bought some fabric awhile back, and have been itching to use. I did a mock-up (using Jenny's method) that was a disaster. The points where EVERYWHERE, but where they should be. I know better, I really do. But I was in this kind of 'let's see what spins out' kind of mood...Not good.
So I ripped out, trimmed each block to 6.25", starched the heck out of them (one of Jean's tips when working with bias edges) and VOILA.
You obviously need no assistance, but maybe someone coming behind me may!
    Again, simply STUNNING!

I should have kept better notes...this is a throw size quilt.
I will make an estimate. 1/8 yd or a fat quarter for each star each color, 1/2 yard for the snowballs, 5/8 yd and 1 1/2 yds for borders and about 3 yds for the back
Which is pced. I had leftovers which i will save for other things. I hope this helps. Jenni.

    This came out STUNNING!
Funny, I made a test block just last night, too. Can you share how much yardage was needed for this sized quilt?

I agree with all above! A beautiful quilt. Been trying to think of a quilt idea for my soon-to-be 16 y/o nephew, and I think he would love something like this.
