My quilting guild (which I've just joined) require you to wear a name tag . . . if you show up for a meeting without yours they charge you a quarter. Some of the women have gotten quite creative in making their tags - so I thought I just HAD to follow suit. I've had this working in my brain for a couple months and yesterday I decided I just had to finish it. The name is sewn on my embroidery machine, the patchwork is an altered disappearing 9-patch that was sewn on my "Kate Smith" Singer Featherweight. It has a light-weight cotton batting and the binding is hand-stitched. I have added some special pins that mean something to me . . . and just this morning did a re-arrange and added a couple more. The finished name tag measures roughly 6 x 9 inches.
