Love this, Jan! I am certainly grooving on the combo of fabrics. I like anything edged in black as it makes everything pop. I do think that this could stand alone.
I just know that someone else will come in with a totally marvy suggestion. Congrats!

Wow, I really love the colors in this runner. It is totally far out, man... :-)

I don't usually put borders on my runners. That said, I don't think you could go wrong with this beauty, and a black border does sound intriguing. I always have jelly rolls of black and off white on hand for bindings - seems to me you could do a narrow black border with 2.5" strips, then something peppy on the binding?

Can't wait to see what other feedback you get. Good job on your runner!

            Hey I remember the 70's!!

They look fine alone to me but a nice rich brown would be pretty, too.

Are you going to San Francisco--be sure to wear some flowers in your hair... Love it! Is that a charm pack?

Love your runner. I too remember the 70's, a bit anyway
I think it would be groovy with or without the border, but have to admit my 1st thought was the
brown too, but then the black sounds great too and it would really make those colors pop right out at ya.
Is that the Sweetheart charm pack??
great job and thanks for sharing, I will be anxious to see what you decide.

AHH bummer man San Fran is 5 hours away or I'd be at Berkley Square with flowers in my hair and showing my quilting wares!!!! And making big bucks on my quilts and stuff.

Catch ya on the flip side man.

Re: Can anybody say FLOWER POWER or GROOVY????

Jan I love it, the colours are great, I'd like to say I'm too young for the 70's, but my mother taught me not to lie.

I liked the idea of thin black and then something sassy for the binding but after reading bakermom's post I think a rich brown would be bettr, not as stark as the black and way more 70's in feel.

                    Have fun with it man.

It's gorgeous. I like the fact that you have the smaller prints down the middle and then the large ones down the sides.

My vote is for brown to to keep in with the 70s theme. Can't join in with the reminiscing though I wasn't born then!

You gals have all gone hippie happy!
Just a suggestion .... I would not use a border.
I would simply bind the runner in teal.

                          GROOOOOOVY is the right word.!!!!!!

I would make a darkbrown binding, as there are a lot of yellow, beige and creme colors in your lovely table runner.

it sure looks like the 70's and I can imagine it on a dark table.
