Here is the baby quilt I have been working on this weekend. I thought the red blanket stitch would go good since Pooh's shirt is red. I am very happy about how it came out. Funny story... This morning when I went to tape down the backing to start to layer it I couldn't find any tape anywhere!!!! I glanced over at my shelf and there lay the hot glue gun.. ha ha I just used a small spot of glue on the very corners and glued that dude to the floor(laminate flooring) It worked so well I may do all my quilts this way. It peeled right off the floor and the fabric even though I cut the excess fabric off anyway. I love it when a plan comes together...

Re: Baby Quilt Completed!!!
Nice job on your quilt! The red stitch adds such a nice element to the border. Not sure I would have been brave enough to try the glue but sounds like it worked well for you.
Can wait to see your next project!

Re: Baby Quilt Completed!!!
Your baby quilt is adorable and I love that red blanket stitch! It all goes together perfectly.
What a crazy perfect idea to hot glue the backing to the floor. I used to use masking tape, but have used blue painter's tape on the last couple of blankets and it works well too. I have no idea where my hot glue gun is, never have used it, but will have to have it handy for emergencies.
