    Easter costume

Yes I know it's not a quilt... but projects like these improve my quilting and quilting improves my ability to do projects like these 😁. This was my first time really doing French seams... I've done mock ones before but the lace required the real deal. Played with tulle, mixed and matched patterns, and couldn't resist some applique on her little matching purse. A nod to her Easter dress either last year or the year before lol. I can't remember now which time I was crazy enough to give her a chiffon oversight. But stole the eggs from the leftovers. Does that make this a scrappy project? 🤔 after all the bow and and bag lining are from her Halloween costume...

Anyways here it is complete with the zipper that I completely forgot how to sew in for a day.

Wow, that is quite a scrappy" project! I love it. I admire your skill. That piping along the lace is fabulous

She does have lots of straw hats, but she loses them to cartwheels lol. So this year I'm tossing in some hair ties instead, might even send along the bunny ear hair clips I have. Been debating on giving her mine or making her own lol.
