    Christmas Doilies Made with Organza

I finished these yesterday and today after I got my tension correct again on my Baby Lock. This is machine embroidery. In the hoop 2 layers of wash away stablilizer and organza. They were fun to do when the thread wasn't breaking. The white one is hard to see. They are 6 1/2 by 6 inches.

Those are lovely, Retha. I’ve seen several items stitched on organza but I haven’t taken the plunge yet. Embroidery Library has several organza designs.

They are pretty. Love how they stand out with one thread color. Great job with the technique.

We learned about organza projects last week at an embroidery event. Thanks for sharing them!

Those are beautiful! My embroidery machine never liked me... so it got donated. Maybe it liked someone else!

They are so pretty. How will you use them? I need some ideas and need to get moving on Christmas things!

Thank you everyone. The red and blue ones are spoken for. I wish just use them as a doily laying some place on a flat surface.

I hope it is ok to post the link to the pattern. It is on Embroidery Library.

My first embroidery (only) machine was gifted to a friend because I no longer used it. Then I fell in love with a Brother that does both sewing and embroidery. I love it for the thread cutter mostly. I have to admit I have only done one design since getting it. After seeing all the beautiful things many of you have posted I think I will find a class to get me over the fear of failure using this versatile machine. Thanks, Retha, for the inspiration.

Yes, Granny Fran. Machine emb. is sew much fun and very addicting and yes, sometimes very frustrating if the thread breaks or the finish puckers, but I still love it.

Thank you Hillbillyhike!! That is a great compliment. Not that good. I just do a lot of things. I am not a very good quilter and here I am on a quilters message board. But I am glad to be here. This is a fun place.
