    Kindred Pinwheels is done

I am pleased how this quilt turned out. I loved the pinwheels, and it will be one for us. It has many good memories with friends.

I bought a FQ bundle and extra yardage while on a my first guild road shopping trip with Heather. I cut the fabrics and started assembly of them while on my first week-long retreat in 2019 with my girlfriend Dorothy. I finished piecing the top by the end of the summer. Then I found the perfect backing, but it only had 8 1/2 yds, and needed more. So I used the extra blocks to add to the back. It was the first king-size quilt that I did on my new Amara. I will also remember slicing my finger (requiring stitches) while cutting pieces for the back. It was a first for many things, but not the last. I will probably make this pattern again.

Pattern - Kindred Pinwheels by MSQC. I added an inner white & blue border and a large outer boarder . King size .

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

Your quilt is Gorgeous! The colors are beautiful and your quilting looks great. The border is the perfect color and I like it without the print sashing. That’s such a nice pattern - I should look into making it.

It's beautiful, Suzanne. It reminds me of the stack and whacks I made for Chuck and Dot.
