    Gertrude the scarecrow

Here she is, the scare crow I built for my little goldfish pond. You might remember me telling you that the first two days when I put her out, the goldfish all gathered at the side under her and begged for food. It was a funny site.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I hope she works so your fish will be kept safe while you're at the coast.

If you hadn't said it was a scarecrow, I would have thought it was a person standing there! So funny about the fish watching her.

Yes, well we have that problem every year when I put her up because as we walk down the drive to the fields or are coming home we see a person at the pond and it startles us for the first few days. DH is up and down that road with the tractor so the birds and crows really have a hard time identifying her because they can't see her face with the hat. It seems to work well. We leave her up from March until Thanksgiving
