    Oceanside-Scrappy Trip Along on Flickr

I made one scrappy top already but love making these blocks so I decided to put together another one in blues. I want the layout to reflect the waves of the ocean and to go from the darkest blues (ocean deep) to the palest blues (sky). I still need to add at least one more vertical row but I may even add two more. oceanside.jpg

Methinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to sew; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Marble Faun, 1859

Just joined a new sew along for this scrappy trip quilt! then the scraps for a Postage Stamp quilt. I like how you were able to get the wave effect putting the lights for the sky and the deep pretty blue for the waves. Yes maybe you are right another row or two? Great job!

in my pile of UFO's I've started something similar but with hexies. My top is by far not big enough yet. Don't know when that one will be finished. But I like yours too.
