I am working on a rather large pinwheel quilt... and my question is... sash or no sash? I was inclined towards no sash because there was no theme(fabric) that carried all the way through the quilt... ie... white or cream used in every pinwheel block... so, what is your take? Here is a picture of my work in progress...

Re: To Sash or Not to Sash... That is the Question
I like it, but I'm inclined to think you should sashMy sister did one that was a scrappy no theme type of pinwheel quilt, got tired and just sewed them all together without sashing and wishes she hadn't! Hers are brighter colors though and I think needed the toning down and separation of the white sashing. Yours are pretty like this the colors aren't to competitive. If you do sash... I think I'd go cream.
Of course that's my style and I'm all for anything that makes it bigger without much effort and maybe I've just seen a lot of sashed quilts lately and am really enjoying them! good luck!
To stitch or not to stitch... There is no question.
