Here is the quilt I finished last month but just got some pics taken today. It is a Christmas gift for my son's girlfriend. I hope she likes it!

Re: My "Hello Betty" Layer Cake Quilt
Hey Patti
I am in love with this quilt. Gimme her address and I will snatch it from her. I adore these colors and the design you created. It looks so cuddly soft too. I really really like this one. You may have to share your layout design?
hugs to you - thanks for sharing; she is one lucky girl!!Sewing mends the soul.

Re: My "Hello Betty" Layer Cake Quilt
That is a beautiful quilt. If she doesn't like it take it and beat it with her and then take it back. I threatened my daughter-in-law that way with the quilt I made her and my son for a wedding gift. I didn't have to worry she loved it and I know your son's girlfriend will LOVE LOVE LOVE this one. Great Job.

Is that a variation on the Turning Twenty or Yellow Brick Road pattern? Love that pattern, which is it?

Re: My "Hello Betty" Layer Cake Quilt
Thank you everyone for such nice comments!
I used a layer cake and a jelly roll for this one. Cut the layer cake in 4" and 6" pieces, inserted a 10" contrasting jelly roll strip, then attached another jelly roll strip horizontal on the top. Went together real quick and took me 3 hours to machine quilt.
I got the idea from a tutorial on here. I think Natalie did it but I am not sure I followed it exactly. Playing it by ear is my speciality!
Take care,
PattiPatti
