Now, are you going to do a binding and how are you going to do it since it's not exactly straight lines?
You have done a great job, I was also wondering about ^. You could use some inset triangles to square it up but I think it is a lovely shape as it is so maybe this is a good place for some 'bias' binding. I don't recall how Jenny finished hers.

Get a 1/4" foot for your machine. Most companies have one that will fit your machines. I know singer has one, Phaff, brothers, and Janome too. They just make all the difference. If not measure 1/4" from your needle and place a piece of masking tape or painters tape on your machine plate. That works too.

Nicole that looks great! I love the fabrics and the shape of that is just so cool!
If you can't find a 1/4 inch foot for your machine, moleskin--found in the foot care aisle at stores is
great as it is thicker--makes a raised 'stop' for the fabric and sticky enough to stay in place but can be removed and re-used several times.

Very nice. I too am brand new to quilting and I agree with the previous ladies' posts - a 1/4" foot really makes a huge difference in your seam accuracy.
But it is beautiful and I read somewhere the finished is better than perfect
you all are so helpful. Im going to look into these 1/4 inch feet and see where i can get it! The fabric is a charm pack called breakfast at tiffany's. as soon as my cutting mat comes i can start working on putting the back on. but in the mean time i have started working on a blanket for my daughter, 2 Halloween runners and one for Christmas
