Quilts By Me search is frustrating

I am about to quit and give up. Every single time I go to Quilts By Me it gives me the response is nothing comes up matching your search. Yes I am logged in. But come on, I am using the simplest shortest terms I can think of: scrap quilts, charm pack quilts, nine patch quilts, etc. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a drop down list someplace of predetermined categories to pick from?

I have troubles too. When you publish a project you select categories and types but it seems you can't search and find them. I tried to find queen sized quilts one time - no luck. Tried looking for modern, again no luck.

The only thing I use it for is to document my projects. Even then, it's not a lot of help because the categories and types can't be used. What if I wanted to look at all the baby quilts I've made? Can't filter any of my projects.

I gave up on Quilts By Me. It just isn't very user friendly.

I never go there. IMO, it's just a repeat of what we post here, so it's double the work. I've never posted any pics there & haven't even looked at in a long time. I'll stick with the Forum & my albums here.

Robin, you're right that it's not user friendly. I've pretty much given up. None of the browse catergories work. All I ever get is
"Whoops!"

I, too, find it frustrating. I wanted to find some baby quilts for inspiration but couldn't get anything to come up.

I do not use it either. I too feel like its just a duplication of being here. I have enough places to be on, just do not need one more.

You'd probably have better luck finding baby quilt patterns & pics on Google.

You can go to Gallery in the blue ribbon at the top of the Forum site. Choose Gallery and in the dropdown choose Album Gallery and do a search there. I tried baby quilts and found lots done by forum members! Good luck.

I agree that it is a bit confusing. At the bottom of your login page click on LISTS then click on the link that comes up " Browse our most popular projects" You are then taken to an area where there are several drop downs to choose from. " How they choose "popular projects" is a mystery to me, and I haven't taken the time to go to any instructions. This might help take some of the frustration out of it, but may be won't give you what you want.

I get frustrated also and have basically given up trying to make it work for me.

I was using it to catalogue my quilts as I made them, but I also became frustrated with it. I don't know why you tag quilts and then can't find them by the tag. I haven't been on there in a while.

I've never been on the site, but perhaps one of you should contact them and let know of all your concerns and frustrations I'm sure they would to know so that they can fix the problems.

That has been done. They either don't care, or don't know how to fix it.
