1 bag of frozen fruit (such as strawberries, blackberries, peaches)
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup self rising flour
    1 cup milk
1/2 stick butter (or get frisky and use the whole thing)
Spray a 9×9 or 9×13 pan. Preheat to 350. Dump the frozen fruit in the pan. Whisk the sugar, flour and milk and pour over fruit. Chip up butter on top.
Bake about 30 minutes til bubbly good. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, more butter, depending on the amount and type of comfort needed.

Oh Dianne, I love you so much. Won't you be my neighbor? Of course, by the time a month is up and we have shared all these delicious recipes, I will be needing a bobcat to load and dump me.
This sounds too stinking good and easy. Thanks!

I do get a lot of my recipes from The Pioneer Woman! I even went to one of her cookbook signing with my daughter, when I was fighting the flu, because I think she is the best blogger/cook on the wild wild web!!

Can I serve this with a cuppa Southern Comfort? Or is that allowed?

Sounds wonderful! What size bag of fruit do you use? Where in central IL are you from?

I've been making this recipe or one very similar for years. My aunt that lived on a farm gave it to me. You can used a large can of peaches in heavy syrup instead of the frozen berries. We also used to make it with fresh dewberries.
