    Turtle Trifle

    Turtle Trifle

1 8oz package of softened cream cheese
1 1/2 cups of whipping cream
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 (2-lb) frozen pecan pie, thawed and cut into 1 inch cubes
    1/2 cup chocolate fudge topping
    1/2 cup caramel topping
    1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
    1. Beat cream cheese, whipping cream, and vanilla extract in a large bowl at medium speed with a mixer, 2 to 3 minutes or until smooth and firm.
    2. Place half of pie cubes in bottom of a 4 qt trifle dish. Spread half of whipped cream mixture over pie cubes. Drizzle with half each of chocolate fudge topping and caramel topping. Sprinkle with half of chopped pecans. Repeat layers.
    3. Cover and chill at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.

Dianne there's no turtle in that trifle...I thought we were going to experience something truly exotic, lol. Sounds nice though.

      Dianne,
I take one of these with a pot of coffee. Then make another one, since I don't share well.

Yummy! Sounds delicious! Rich and full of calories! Must add this to my collection, but wait for company. I fear I would eat it all and be so sick!

This sounds amazing and I must make it soon for the family. I will lie about any cream cheese being in it and they all get grossed out by that particular ingredient so I forget to tell them. ha ha ha....

Holy Cow! My butt grew three sizes just reading the recipe!

It does sound sooo yummy though. I need to find some friends who like pecan pie as much as I do, so I have an excuse to make this and not have to eat it all myself. Hmmm, I wonder if I could make this in a muffin tin and freeze it in single serve portions? OK, so make a that a JUMBO muffin tin.
                  Thanks for another yummy recipe!
