    Banana Lumpia

1 package large lumpia wrappers (thin flour tortillas can be used if you are unable to find lumpia wrappers)
    12 small ripe bananas
12 ounces either milk or semi sweet chocolate chips
toothpicks to hold wrappers in place
peanut or canola oil for frying
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    chocolate syrup
whipped cream (fresh, aerosol or defrosted whipped topping)

Peel bananas and cut lengthwise and then crosswise.
Place one lumpia wrapper on a flat surface and put 2 banana halves near the edge.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup (approximately 1 ounce)chocolate chips over the banana halves.
Roll the lumpia over once, tuck in both edges and continue rolling (tightly) until the banana is covered.
Using your finger, moisten the edge of the lumpia wrapper with water, then press it firmly against the roll.
    Secure with toothpick.
Put two inches of peanut oil in a skillet or dutch oven and heat to 350 degrees ... using a candy thermometer.
Fry the lumpia in not crowd...until golden brown.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
Mix sugar and cinnamon well and sprinkle over hot lumpia.
    Remove toothpicks
Cut lumpia in half crosswise, on a diagonal
    Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
