    Egg salad recipe?

    Does anyone have a good egg salad recipe?
    I'm also looking for a Devil egg recipe.

    I'm new to recipes and building my collection.

    I'm not much on making egg salad, but I make a MEAN deviled egg. I hard boil the eggs, peel and slice in half lengthwise. Set the whites aside and mix Bread and Butter pickle juice - only about a tablespoon full - salt and pepper to taste, and a teaspoon of yellow curry powder. Blend it all together and fill the egg white pieces. Even my granddaughters (who are usually picky eaters) love these done this way.

          When I make "Egg Salad" I just boil my eggs (based on what you are using it for) peel the eggs and then mash them with a fork and add mayonaise and salt and pepper and I usually make sandwiches with mine. For my deviled eggs I boil the eggs and cut them length wise and take the yellows out and set the egg whites aside. I mix up the yellows with mayonaise and salt and pepper and then put back in the egg whites. I'm not real big on the salad pickles and stuff in mine. I like mine plane. My family likes them either way. Good Luck.

            TRADITIONAL SOUTHERN DEVILED EGGS- Paula Deen-( I love this recipe)

            Ingredients
            • 7 large eggs, hard boiled and peeled
            • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
            • 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
            • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
            • Salt and pepper, for taste
            • Paprika, for garnishing
            • Sweet gherkin pickles sliced, for garnishing
            • Pimentos, for garnishing
            Directions
            Halve 7 eggs lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a small bowl.
            Mash yolks with a fork and stir in mayonnaise, pickle relish, and mustard. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
            Fill egg whites evenly with yolk mixture. Garnish with paprika, pickles and pimentos. Store covered in refrigerator.

              Sandy, how many eggs do you use for that amount of pickle juice? I really like the idea that you don't add mayo.
