Re: Cream Cheese Sheet Cake *this melts in your mouth!!

If I had the cream cheese on hand, this would be my dessert for lunch tomorrow. Must add that to my shopping list and make this soon! Sounds delicious! Thanks! SuzyQue

You can use your favorite frosting. Strawberries are good too!

    Cream Cheese Sheet Cake
    *this melts in your mouth!!

1 c. plus 2 tbsp. Butter or Margarine, softened
2 pkgs. (3 oz ea) Cream Cheese, softened- I use 8 oz size
    2-1/4 c. Sugar
    6 Eggs
    3/4 tsp. Vanilla
2-1/4 c. Cake Flour- I use all purpose flour

    Frosting:
    1 c. Sugar
    1/3 c. Evaporated Milk
    1/2 c. Butter or Margarine
    1/2 c. Semisweet Chocolate chips

In a bowl cream butter, cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in vanilla. Add flour and mix well.

Pour into a greased 15x11 jelly roll pan. Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick near the center comes out clean. Cool completely.

For frosting, combine sugar and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover and cook for 3 minutes (do NOT stir). Stir in butter and chocolate chips until melted. Cool slightly, stir and spread over cake.
