    Cheese Straws

I believe this is mostly a deep south recipe, but doe's anyone have any to share? it's made from cheddar cheese then either put in a bag with a wide tip, or use a cookie press with a wide slot. I think way back, Paula Dean had a cooking show and mentioned having them in her restaurant, similar to a cracker. Thanks Kathryn

There are numerous recipes online. They are all pretty much the same so I would pick one and give it a try. I did a Google search and several recipes came up.

I don't have any recipe for them but they sound yummy. I hope if you find a good one you will share it with us.

I don't think I've ever had a cheese straw. They sound delicious!

Here's a link to Paula Deen's recipe for cheese straws. I absolutely LOVE cheese straws. I've not used her recipe but I am sure it is fantastic!

All the places I worked we made them with puff pastry. We did make our own, ugg, but the freezer section is always there. lol

This has a video in the link too.

They show up at every tea and shower around here. Most are made with a cookie press with the little wavy bar. Usually very peppery as well as cheesy.
