Good morning Lissau. I hope you are safe from fires, smoke may not be possible.

          Hi Everyone ..

Yes l'm fine thankyou l am about 3 hrs away from the fires …. The smoke is another matter some days its been so thick like a heavy fog and the smell ick.... But l cant imagine what its like in the actual fire areas … It would be horrible … The actual city has also had the smoke and its 4 hrs from the fires … The state government has been urging the public if we are having breathing and health effects from the smoke to stay in doors make sure the doors and windows are closed and if using a air conditioner to put it on recycle air so its recycling the air in the house and not bringing it in from outside. Also been recommending if your having problems to buy breathing masks.

Behind those trees is a mountain range cant see it because of the thick smoke

In this pic if you look just above the skinny tree in the middle you can just barely make out the outline of the mountain

Lisa, it is good to hear from you. I am glad to hear that you are safe and I hope it stays that way. It is so very sad to see what is happening in your Country.

              Re: Hello World

Having lived through many fire seasons here in Southern California, I really feel for you and your fellow citizens. This is so huge and tragic. Praying for more rain, for firefighting success, and for the safety of the firefighters and all people and animals in the path of the fires.

Thanks for the update. I've been wondering how you all were doing down there. A group of fire fighters from our state went there to help out.

                    aaawww Thanks Everyone …

The thought of all of the animals that have been killed just breaks my heart and l've cried many tears over just how many they estimate has been lost and there is an ad on tv at the moment aimed at raising money to help with the rescued animals and to help with everything else and there is a section of the ad where they show a Koala ..no sound but it looks like its screaming in agony and l've been caught out a few times not realising it was coming up when watching tv ..l just cant handle that so many of our precious beautiful unique animals have gone .. .. l cant imagine what the people who are on the front lines have to see and deal with ….They are all Heroes and Angels... We've got so many fire fighting people here from all over the world here helping its just incredible … But as l said above l am safe and no where near any of the fires... Hope everyone is doing well and all is ok with you all ...

                      Re: Hello World

So good to hear from you! Glad you are safe. I was in Oregon several years ago near some big fires. Did not enjoy smelling the smoke, it made me feel sick the whole time I was there.
