    Hello Everyone

I Haven't been on here at all. I have gone back to work as of Oct 21st. I hope everyone is doing well.
I seen my hematology oncologist in Nashville on Nov. 14th and he thinks my spells ;which have gotten way worse as of late; has absolutely nothing to do with the cancer. We just accidentally found it because of the spells.
I was convinced I had something messing with the gland in your brain that regulates your body temperature causing the temperature to climb but be gone the next morning so during a bad spell I went to the E.R. to have a CT on my brain. All came back normal Thank god. Then a week later I had an MRI on my brain and it too came back normal.
This made me feel so much better knowing I'm not going to stroke or die from an aneurysm during one of these spells. If it were not for the high fever we would just say its just a migraine headache. I even had blood cultures drawn during the spell in the ER. Normal. No infection at all. My MD and my specialist in Nashville know what to do with me.
So I wait I guess. I have read about a thing called NEOPLASTIC FEVER. I am still looking into that. I just hope I don't have to put up with these for the rest of my life.
My BIL that found out he had cancer 2 months after I did passed away on the 9th. Didn't even make it 6 months. We are just sick. He was 66 years old and a good man. I just don't understand why.
Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Don't eat to much....Aww heck eat whatever and how much you want. Turkey day comes just one time a year right?

    hugs to you all.

    Re: Hello Everyone

    Morning Rhonda,

I'm happy nothing came back from the CT & MRI to cause concerns. Hopefully they will find the cause, and sometimes these just pass. So sorry for your BIL, that certainly is too young. There seems to be so many people being touched by cancers. Really makes me wonder what we have all been exposed to, over our lifetimes. It just may be that now, cancers are diagnosed and treated, whereas 50-70yrs ago, people just died young without being diagnosed.

Thank God for quilting, it does keep me busy and not so focussed on my health issues.

Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Every day I try to do one thing that challenges my comfort zone.

I do hope and pray they find out what is causing your "spells" Rhonda. It has to be scary not knowing what is going on with your body. I suggest you have your hormone levels checked if it hasn't been ruled out. My thyroid was blazing away and it caused me all kinds of mental issues as well as temperature fluctuations.

I , too, wonder what we have all been exposed to when another member of my family is diagnosed with a cancer. Every cousin I grew up with has a child that has some form of cancer (including me) And these cancers were not there in the aunts and uncles histories. Nor in us Cousins!! So it has to be an environmental trigger.. at least that is my feeling regarding our generation of cancer kids.

Praying that you find the answers you are searching for...

Condolences on the loss of your BIL. I am glad that the tests have shown no problems in your brain. It is frustrating to have an illness undiagnosed but you are unique so try to look at it that way.
Happy to see you back again.

            Hi Rhonda,

Good to hear from you. Like Judy, I was also wondering if yours is related to thyroid issues.

Hope you have a good Turkey Day.

Rhonda! Glad to see you this beautiful afternoon. I do hope they find out what's causing your spells, toot sweet. It's always the unknown that feeds our worries and causes more health issues.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

It is good to hear from you. I am so sorry to hear about your brother in law. I hope you continue to feel better and the docs can get to the bottom of your spells of fever.

Sorry to hear about your troubles but i am glad you are back. Yes cancer seems to touch everyone these days (my dh is in remission) and it really makes you wonder is it bc of our environment, our food or food packaging, earlier detection? When I think of the billions that have been spent on research and studies i am baffled why they have not discovered a cure or developed a vaccination yet. I am glad you are feeling better and they have ruled out the most serious possibilities.
