    This is why

My grands are always asking why I have my shoes on.... This is why....

The ruler slid off of the table 100_0440.JPG

    and landed on my toe!100_0439.JPG

Needless to say, I stopped and put on my socks and shoes (after a quick clean, neosporin, and a bandaid).

Katrina ~ Ouch! I hope that heals up quickly. Aquaphor really aids in healing. I always wear shoes when I'm sewing or cutting fabric. I have a bone spur in one foot & I need the arch support of my SAS shoes, a style which I've been wearing for many years. I have diabetes, & good foot protection is a must. Also, my sewing room has shag carpet; pins & needles disappear like magic into the carpeting. I don't want to step on anything sharp. I probably would need a metal detector to find them all!

OUCH for sure! I have done similar things. I had a small pair of very sharp scissors drop and impale itself in my ankle once. Take Care!!

Well, the cut looks a lot better this morning. I've cleaned, neosporin, and bandaided it again. Above the cut has 3 little bruises, so apparently the ruler must have bounced, before it was finished. It could have been worse!

Barb & Katrina, you both have cured me of sewing barefoot. Glad to know y'all are better.

That looks like something I would do. Thank you for the reminder! I will definitely wear footwear next time!
