Pensacola Trip & Fabric Store Alert

My husband & I were so grateful to be able to enjoy a vacation in Pensacola last week. My sweet DH got some much needed rest & relaxation after a busy year at work. We walked on the beach, watched the sunset, read, feel asleep, and ate .....then repeat. There was a dog beach about a half mile down the beach, so we got to see all kinds of dogs playing every day. We also saw a sea turtle (in its natural home) for the first time from the Pensacola pier. This is my favorite picture from our trip.

If you make the trip to Pensacola I would recommend the A&E Fabric Store. They have tons of great quality fabrics and some many pretty fabrics...it's hard to decide what you like best! There was so much fabric, it was a little overwhelming! Here's a link with photos.

Is that the one that is also a hardware store? Bonnie Hunter featured it on her blog once. I would love to go!

Hi Donna, the store had also been a pharmacy. The pharmacy part closed about a year ago. If you go, I would have a project or pattern in mind that you want to make. There was just soooooo much fabric.

It sounds like a perfect vacation, and very relaxing.

I am so glad you were able to have a relaxing vacation! It's always a bonus to find a good fabric store while you are at it.

So glad you were able to get away and enjoyed your trip so much. When my family lived in New Orleans, we used to vacation in Pensacola every summer. Haven't been back in many decades, but have great memories!
