    Reluctant Night Owl

I wanna be in bed and asleep.
The livestock guardian dogs are going nuts outside. I heard the emergency vehicle sirens earlier, so I have an idea of where the coyotes are. And they are probably causing the biggest fuss as they move locations across the peninsula. It might also be the raccoons or the tweakers who walk the roads at wierd hours.
Hubby is snorking (snore, snorkel, choking) in our room.
I may resort to a sip of burbon to give me the warm fuzzies and send me to the land of nod. I'd rather everything and everyone would quiet down though. I suppose one more walk about the property with Smith & Wesson just to make sure all is right wouldn't be a bad idea.
No late night sewing in these woods, just no actual sleeping.
I hope things are better where you all are! Have you on the East coast thawed out yet?
    Warm Hugs, Cathy

I sure hope Cathy got some rest!!

    What are 'tweakers'?

Tweakers are the general term around here for meth-heads and other chemically dependent individuals that wander the roads pilfering mailboxes, breaking into storage sheds, outbuildings, cars, and homes looking for items to pawn for cash for their next fix of their drug of choice.
Things finally quieted down about 1-ish, at least outside.

Urban dictionary didn't have "tweakers" as meth heads? Wow, someone is asleep at the wheel there. The term tweakers has been around for a while now.

In Sandy's defense, I think Hamilton is Urban in her neck of the woods!

It is a much quieter night out of doors. I was working on a beaded project while we watched vintage Star Trek shows. Then I realized what time it had gotten to be. It is now time for some sleep!
I did manage to get a chunk of paperwork done too. Hands On Art is caught up. I typed up the directions for a couple of sewing projects. Now to add the illustrations to those and make a sample for at least one of them. Ugh.
I still have to deal with the rest of 5th grade camp, but I'm still kinda steaming about that. Then to catch up on the Box Tops stuff.
One of these days I'm gonna use that "No" word and the earth will rumble!

I hope you have good plans for the weekend!
