Re: Early Nightowl
Hi Joan! So glad to hear you are progressing well. I know it seems like a long road but hang in there. I'm spending this week sorting and cleaning. I refuse to sew until I can get some things in order. I need to stop looking at Daily Deals and other online sales! That or I need to exercise some self-control or sew faster! Perhaps an intervention is necessary!!
Snippet, hope you get to feeling better.Last edited by GaGa; January 15, 2017, 09:30 PM.Brenda. :icon_wave:

Re: Early Nightowl
Joan, glad to hear that things are going well.
Carol, I hope that you get feeling better soon.
It has been fairly quiet around here today. Due to the ice, we didn't go to church this morning. You could ice skate on the driveway. The main roads were not too bad this afternoon but the side roads were not from the reports that people were giving.
We worked on getting the little one's clothes switched today. He has already outgrown 3 month clothes. I was able to cut on blocks for a quilt that I am making dh. On facebook, MSQC posted a picture of a quilt that someone had made from one of Jenny's tutorials - dh seen it and liked it so I thought I would make it for him. It may take a while to get it done but it will get done.
Have a safe, warm night everyone

Re: Early Nightowl
Joan, glad to hear your healing is getting better.
Carol, hope you feel better soon and miss some of the storms.
I've been busy trying to declutter before moving. Didn't get as much done as I had hoped for, but still progress. Also learned today that DD is pregnant! Baby should be here a few months after I retire! This will be my first grandchild. So exciting. It was so hard not to say anything to my mother and sis today when I talked to them, but it's too early and she's only told her brother and parents.Karen

Re: Early Nightowl
Joan - so glad to hear things are healing and the pain is easing somewhat. And I hope you feel better soon, Carol!
Roads are clear and dry here so our week of travel plans start tomorrow (Monday.) Since it is a holiday the traffic should be light, I hope. It's about 2 hours to the destination so a very easy trip. Looking forward to some shopping at Joann's. The coupons I have expire tomorrow and new ones come out Tuesday ~ I know 2 trips will be in order.
It's nice to hear about babies ... both the ones that are here and coming. Congratulations Karen ... sounds like the timing is right for you to be a full time grandmother.

Re: Early Nightowl
Thanks for checking in and starting the thread, Joan! We've been missing you!
I was surprised by some very thoughtful forum mail that will come in handy!
I keep having vertigo when I do the exercises, but lessened. I'm supposed to try to sit up in a recliner to sleep at a 45 degree angle recline. We will see if I can manage that as I usually have to sleep face down or on my side at best. I really want to get over this as I can't sew in this state. At least the Bulls won twice this weekend! Yay, Hoiberg!

Re: Early Nightowl
MM asked me out on a date today and he took me to see a movie. We saw Moana.....if you have not seen it, go do it just to see it on the big screen. It is animated and so well done. I will absolutely be buying it once it's released.
When we got out of the movie, we went to the oldest daughters house for a visit. She took Ashtyn, the ten year old grandboy, to see Monster Jam last night. It's something with all the tricked out 4x4 p/u's and jeeps and things. While there, she lost her wallet and was not very happy. She cancelled everything last night. Luckily for her, about two hours ago, a couple knocked on her door and had found her wallet and brought it to the house to return it! She was crazy with excitement and wanted to hug them. She said they appeared to be Cambodian and didn't know what to think of this crazy woman and took a step back. I asked her where they had found it and if she gave them a reward or anything, but she didn't ask and it hadn't occurred to her to give them anything. It was to late to uncancel the cancelled cards, but at least she has them back along w/her ID.pat.
No rain....no rainbows!
