More prayers needed

My mom just called and said they are taking my dad back to the hospital from the rehab center. He is having a lot of stomach pain and trouble catching his breath. He saw the doctor (surgeon) yesterday and was told that everything looks good - his leg and shoulder are healing well. Please pray they can find the cause of his pain and get him back on the road to healing and getting back home. My mom is beside herself because she can't go see him, and the rest of my family is running ragged trying to take care of things. It's so hard to be away - I have a ticket to fly out in several days because we thought he'd be coming home then. Thank you for your prayers!!

Do not worry, he is in the best place to get this figured out!! Hoping for a quick diagnosis and simple treatment. There are so many drugs nowadays that no one should be in pain. He came through the surgery fine and that was the hard part. Try to stay calm.

Thank you all for your prayers! I was in a panic when I posted last night. The pain was caused because he was unable to empty his bladder. My brother had to call 911 to have him taken to the hospital from the rehab center because all they were doing there was giving him pain medicine, and they hadn't even checked on him after my mom called them. At the hospital, they were able to drain a huge amount of fluid, but it affected his kidneys so they are now monitoring that and giving him antibiotics and IV fluids. He was able to eat tonight - he said he had cereal, applesauce, something else, and a can of Ensure. That's probably more than he's had in days. So it seems that things are going in the right direction, but now my brothers are looking for another rehab facility because he will NOT be going back to the previous one. They will probably keep him in the hospital thru the weekend. I so appreciate all of your prayers. I told Dad that many people were praying for him, and he told me to be sure to thank all of you from him.
