    Tea Towel Apron for Kids?

Has anyone made the tea towel apron for a child? I'm wondering if I need to cut the bottom off....maybe sew it back on to make a pocket across the bottom. These kids are 8 and 10, so I don't want the aprons to swallow them. And I wanted it to be a gift, so, no measuring on them. I can't even find the tute that Jenny did on the aprons, to go by.
I bought the kind of towel that has the white band across one end, for embroidery. I plan to use iron on letters and put their names on them.
    Any hints or warnings?

I doubt very much that you need to cut them off or fold up. Remember these kids will probably grow 7 inches taller overnight!!

I have been making aprons this week. I think just a small hem would work fine...or you could just turn under the small area at the top after you cut the angles off, before you make the casing.
