Get a Speed Queen. They are a bit pricier than other brands but they don't control the water level or water temperature - and they are made in the USA. They make laundromat washers and are heavier duty than other brands. I was able to find a local appliance store that carries them - bought on a Saturday and it was delivered on Tuesday.
