    A Really Good D

There we were.... Spencer, Finny, snd me... snuggled under a quilt, watching uTube videos on my iPad, when I got a call from Fran... Befire I knew it, she and Amy were at my door....and we were off to The Fabric Shack! Just what I needed... we all bought something, and swore to make something.... I plan to make more lap pads, fir my friend in
Texas... She has asked for more...

Then... We went to the closest Mickey D's.... Ready to slurp our way through hit fudge sundaes... but... The hit fudge mavhine was brokrn, so off we went to the Mickey D's in Lebanon... Thise sundaes were yummy...

I want to give a really big THANK YOU to Fran and Amy....true firun buddies....fir giving me a great afternoon... it was so much fun...Those sweet ladies truly lifted my spirits...

So... Thus morning I actually went into my sewing room and did some work... I plan to do more later today... Slowly, but surely, my quilting mojo will come back...

Thanks to all of you, who have written to encourage me... I won't lie... The last few weeks have been bad...and I sm hearing right into the hardest time of year for anyone show is grieving... January 8th. Is a day I dread... But... You guys are such a wonderful support... Thank God for you...

    God Blesd,
    Sandy

This is such good news. Nothing like a hot fudge sundae with friends and shopping for fabric to lift your spirits.

So glad you had time with friends and are getting back to the sewing room, Sandy. Nothing like a little retail and chocolate therapy!

Not gonna' lie, I was concerned about you before, but now you have me in tears (happy tears, but they look the same as sad ones to my co-workers, lol!). Hugs to you, dear one.

Awww, Sandy, it sounds like you had JUST the day you needed!

Something that took me a (very!) long time to remember was that the day my loved one died was NOT the day that was going to dictate the rest of my life. I gave myself permission to grieve on his birthday, but NOT let the day he was no longer with me cast even a shadow on my many happy memories. It takes time for the happy memories to "displace" the feelings of grief, but in time they DO.

I hope you girls set up another play date....what could be better than quilting buddies, shopping for fabric treats, AND chocolate yummies?! Boy, I sure don't know!!
