    Funny Husband

So, I ordered a '30s JR and some grey solid yardage about a week or so ago when the JR was the daily deal. The package arrived and i opened it up in the kitchen on the island. DH walks by, glances at it and says, "only one jelly roll and a little bit of yardage? Seems like you should have ordered more."
I just stared at him, and he says, "yes dear by now I have learned what a jelly roll is. Next time you should order some more."

    He was totally serious!!
    What a guy!

Mine came yesterday and was wisked into the sewing room IMMEDIATELY! He never knew.

I just read this post to my husband. He's laughing his head off. DH: " Yes, dear, we can learn."

Jeff can tell what's in my packages from M*. He knows the feel of all the precuts and loves announcing to me what I bought.

After multiple issues (expensive ones) with our combine during harvest this year, I was beginning to have a meltdown over getting the crops off and keeping things held together long enough to do so. DH knows how stressed I get this time of year, the weather and everything else seems to fight us to the end. One morning last week my husband suggested I get on the "Star" website and order a "quilt or two" worth of whatever I wanted. Just the re-adjustment I needed. Even better when it all showed up three days later. No time to sit down and sew as of yet, but that will come sooner or later. Guess the man knows a little bit about me after this many years!

I ordered 4 shortcuts to finish out what I needed for a quilt I've been oogling over for sometime now. And a yardage cut of an almost white batik to go with a couple of jelly rolls I've also had sitting around a while. Thanks for asking!

I'm blessed with one of those enabler husbands too. Most of the time, anyway.

We went to Shipshewana in September and when we were shopping at Yoder's I found a nice neutral blender that I really liked. When I told him I didn't know if I should get two yards or four, he said,"Oh, go ahead and get four...you'll use it for something."

I've wondered why there seems to be so many enabling husbands. Ya think they might have some secret ulterior motive??

My dh is very supportive and encouraging too. In fact, he (along with my bff in CA) has been the one telling me I need to get an embroidery machine. He notices when I don't get a package from M* for a while and asks me why. Lol.

My DH knows better than to say anything about my fabric buying, because he is always buying motorcycle or gun or fishing stuff.
