    When flowers die...

    Over the weekend, some of us adults worked in the flower beds at the school, taking out the dead annuals that had been damaged by last week's frost, and planting daffodils and crocuses for next spring. We marked the beds with popsicle sticks to remember what we had planted where. Today, my DD the Kindergarten teacher had the following exchange with her students:

    Children questioning me about the popsicle sticks in the garden:


    "What happened to the flowers?!"


    "Well, they took out the flowers that died, and planted new bulbs that will grow in the spring. Those are just markers to show where they're planted."

    "You mean doze are GRAVES?!?"

    That is just so cute and so logical from a child's point of view. You can see why they might think that!! Lol

      The mind of a child can really surprise you sometimes.This is still cute,keep them coming.
