    Friday is here

Good morning everyone. I'm late this morning, slept in. Well, I didn't get to sleep until around 3:30 or so. I had a good day at work yesterday but ended up coming home. Today will be my shopping day. Lord help me, Les wants to come!! I told him all the places I wanted to go to, so we will see. He had a very LATE night, hence my late night.

My sciatica is doing much better, it didn't hurt all day yesterday. I thought it had gone, but noooooo it's back when I lay down. SUCKS!!!! Another reason to not sleep well.

So today I am off fabric shopping amongst other things. Wish me luck that I find what I am looking for.

Have a great day everyone and have a happy weekend. Stay safe to all those having terrible storms.

Good morning from now sunny but cold upper NY! There's frost on the pumpkin this morning! Kids are off to school, moms at work, plumbing mess is mitigated somewhat, so I have a day to myself to explore. Doggies and I are on the couches catching a few winks before really digging into the day! I will look for fabric here, but so far, Walmart seems to be the only source close by. I know there is a Janome dealer in a small town west if here, I might check that out. Hope you all have a good day!

        Have fun fabric shopping Monique.

It's a sunny morning here. Today I am off to buy a swimsuit (ack!!!) so I can pool run, Costco run, buy a clear foot for my serger that I hope will help with my ability to see what I'm doing, go to the fabric store looking for cheap spandex that I can use while I'm on this learning curve with my serger, and maybe some me shopping, we'll see.

        Have a great day peeps.

          Good Morning all,
Monique, sorry to hear your sciatica is still bothering you. Jean you get to go fabric shopping in a different place.
The All Saint's Halloween party on Monday was a great success. We only have about 70 kids in the program but, moms, dads, sibs, grandparents came. Must have had close to 130 people. Sister was more than pleased. The kids in the upper grades had a poster project to do at home. Turned out well too. Sister is going to hang the posters in the meeting room for all to see.
Getting ready to leave for N. Ill . Need to check the 10 day forecast see what the weather is up to. Last couple of years it either snowed heavy wet snow, or bone chilling rain. Hoping for Indian Summer weather and lots of fall color. Guess I better get or I won't get anything done. As always Hugs & Prayers for all and BD wishes for all who celebrate today.
All quilts cat tested and approved.

Happy, bright and sunny day to all!

Jean and Monique, I wish I was fabric shopping too! I hate to say it, Jean, but you are right. The only fabric in that town is Walmart. I did ask around on several of my visits to Massena and was told there is a fabric/craft shop east of you. I think it's on the reservation. If you have time in the middle of the water crisis, you should check it out.

I need to do some yard work, but I think I am going to sew. My excuse is allergies but we all know that any excuse will work if we feel the need to sew.

PT today and then shopping for new cell phones for DH and I. Just received a notice from our town that a Boy Scout is collecting books for a Halfway House as his Eagle Project. Boy will DH have a load of books for him as we've been trying to down size our books. We used to donate lots of books for our library's semi annual book sales but they are overloaded and won't accept any more books.

Looks as if we will have a nice Fall weekend, the kind of one that makes you feel like going apple and/or pumpkin picking. Lots a Fall activities at the local orchards and farm markets for family fun with mazes, wagon rides, etc. No kiddies here any longer so maybe we'll pick up some mums and enjoy some fresh pressed apple cider and a doughnut.

I'm staying til Tuesday. We are going on a Adirondack Scenic Train ride tomorrow. That should be beautiful, and scenic train rides are my favorite tourist thing I like to do!

Yes, I wish we could shop together. But you get over your sciatic pain! I have endured that, and it took a while to get relief. I did physical therapy, chiropractic and therapudic massage. The best help was the massage!

                  Morning Everyone,

It's a cold rainy day and the household is coming to life very slowly. Olive is still asleep and Dottie dove behind our pillows as soon as I made our bed. That's her favorite thing to do right now.

We have a full day in Cuba again tomorrow but I plan a super slow day today. Thinking of making a large pot of beef stew and some beer bread for our dinner and for our neighbor. Jeff wants me to make a carrot cake, too. This is a challenge because we still have no kitchen sink. Talk about inconvenient!

Wherever you are, have a safe and happy day.

                    Re: Friday is here

Haven't been on here much lately, but thought I'd take a break this morning. Was productive at first, car serviced , washed and full tank of gas. Need to drive to Baton Rouge when the DD and SIL get here (who knows when, it best be before 20) for a family wedding in the morning. Packed, but don't really like the outfit I have to wear, so I think I might run to the mall and see if I can find something else. Nothing like last minute. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

                      Re: Friday is here

We've had two nights with frost/freeze warnings but the Japanese anemones haven't lost all their petals yet so I'm not sure they got hit here in town. I'm collecting milkweed pods for a local seed project. I've read some hopeful reports on the migrating Monarch population so we shall see what the winter count in Mexico is...I'm supposed to be collecting aster seed, too, but it is too windy for that today.

I've been having fun doing big stitch quilting on my bed. I've got Pandora playing my favorite bands so I get to sing along with my 70s and 80s bands.

The Santa cross stitch just needs to be backstitched on the final Santa. Yay. I'm glad to get that over with!

Made DH a pan of brownies, so he's happy...have a good Friday!
