    It's Hump Day - Wednesday

Good morning friends. After having to walk with a cane yesterday, I feel so much better today. Not 100%, but so much better. I think I shall live. I did basically NOTHING yesterday because of the pain. I couldn't get my salsa made, they had no cilantro at the grocery store either (I called). So I think I shall just peel the tomatoes and put them in bags and throw them in the freezer until I get back from my MSQC Retreat North. One more sleep to go.

    Have a great day everyone.

Monique that is the best commercial ever. Hope your leg/back is better for tomorrow and Friday. We could put you on my wheely sewing chair and push you around if need be. Yippee, see you tomorrow.

What's up for you today? Monique and Nan will be busy getting ready for their retreat, anyone else have fun plans? DH and I took it easy yesterday so today we'll be playing catch up this morning getting stuff done around the house and a big food shopping this afternoon. Not a fun plan but a really necessary one.

Monique, glad your back/leg pain is a bit better. If it continues to bother you, don't worry, we will carry you. But, really, tell us if you are hurting. None of us NEED to shop for fabric. We will be just as happy to sit around, chat, eat and sew (not necessarily in that order) while watching you lay on your back as you stretch.

I woke up this morning dizzy as heck. Twice I have gotten dizzy and my lips went sort of numb. I think it's inner ear as I slept with the windows open and feel congested. I took a benadryl and so far I feel better. Mind you, I will end up sleeping the morning away. I told Larry that if I am not better, he was going to have to drive me to Kingston!

            Hi Everyone,

Busy day for me today. Yesterday our kitchen flooded so after cleaning up the mess I drove to the city and bought a new sink and faucet. The trouble was with our old faucet but since we have been talking about getting a new sink, I bit the bullet and bought both. Of course the opening is different than our old sink and Jeff had to use a saw and sander and now we have dust over every square inch of the kitchen and living room. Can't deal with it this evening because we have to leave for Cuba the minute he gets home from work. For now I'm washing dishes in a big tub outdoors and bring them indoors to dry.

Other than the above it's supposed to rain all day and it started about two hours ago.

Monique, I'm so happy to hear your pain is so much better. Have a fabulous time with the Girls.

            Wishing everyone a great day.

I hate to say, but you may want to get checked out. Dizziness, numbness on lips or jaw in women can be a sign of stroke. I know from a friend who poo-pooed the idea. Remember, you are in Canada and we have good health care.
Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. Everything else will follow.

Morning all. Day off Finally got the cat quilt top done. Waiting on the backing from Backside backing. it is 94 x 86. Enough to hang way over the edges ( hubby's complaint about the last one).
Monique glad your pain is easing a bit. Hope you girls all have a wonderful time at your north mini retreat.
My son's car had to go for a check up (check engine light on)
The colors are starting to look awesome here. As much as I enjoy that I know that old man winter ain't far behind.
Here is a pic of the cat top being held by both my sons.

                  Morning all,
Monique glad to hear you're feeling some improvement. That rolling chair sounds like fun! Have a great time gals and share a picture or two.

Barb, oh no, I've been there with the saw dust scenario no fun.

                  April, adorable quilt!

Not much on my schedule today to keep me out of my sewing room so I have no excuses if I'm not productive today.
Hoping everyone has a good day!

April you are so very talented! Well done on your quilt! Will you quilt it yourself?

Sadly, I won't be able to join the ladies on their mini-retreat even tho they are only 4 hours away from me. Maybe next time! Have fun gals!!

Nothing much planned this weekend...hoping to tackle a few projects but we will see! No plans at all so far. Was hoping to go away this weekend back to my friends cottage but not sure.

Monique good luck with your Ciatica (sp). I had problems with mine last year about this time and then the first week in December it put me down for the weekend. I am starting to have the same trouble now. If you can go to a Chiropractor. That helped mine and I am about to start going again so mine does not get out of control like it did. That was not a good feeling.

                      Have fun at the retreat.

SO - how many years am I going to be having these darned hot flashes!!!! I'm 65 for heaven's sake!!!!

My friend was given tickets to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts to see "Beautiful." I had no idea what it was about. I was going to google it and then decided to be surprised. I think we were in the fifth row near the center - perfect seats. What fun to be able to enjoy Carol King's music live and to learn a bit about her private life. I had no idea she had written so many famous songs through so many decades. Fun, fun, fun. I didn't want the night to end.
