New Great Grand Son Is Here! :)

My 2nd grt. grandchild was born at 4:43 a.m. today. He weighed in at a whopping 9 lb. 1 oz.! The only pic I have of him so far is one of him naked on the scale, so I certainly won't be posting that! Mom & baby are fine. Our prayers are answered for a healthy baby. She's been so uncomfortable the past couple weeks. I'm glad the baby finally is here. They named him Oliver Vernon _______. I've known for quite a while they had the name Oliver picked out, but I didn't know what they decided on for a middle name. I hope I'll have a chance to see him soon. With being the caregiver for DH, it's hard to get away for a few hrs.

Aww congratulations on this happy news!! You must be dying to hold him. Hopefully that will happen soon. 9# sounds big but he will still seem so tiny when you do see him and he will feel light as a feather. Glad some of the old names are coming back.

Congratulations to you and your family. My niece just made me a great aunt once more. I now have seven. The kids in our family are slow to marry and start families including my two girls. I wonder if I will experience becoming a grandmother. I have my doubts.
