Fall Forum Get Together PICTURES!!!

I just went to the Groups page to "join" the Fall Forum Retreat group and alas......it's invite ONLY. I want to join so that I can see the pictures of my fellow Forum friends. What gives? Any way we can get past this wall of secrecy......??

Moved from squeaky wheel because this is not a complaint for M*.

The reason it was set up as an invite only group was to keep outside opinions out while things were being decided by participants. There is no reason not to open it now, but Charyti will have to be the one to do it.

The participants who had input were the ones who signed up and paid to come. Anyone who wanted to come could do so. There were openings to come and many invitations to sign up. This is what I see.

"This group is only for those who are registered to attend the 2016 Fall Forum Retreat in Hamilton, MO" is the opening sentence in the group description.

I am sure they will open it up for the 'public' to see.

You need to learn to read the entire sentence.

The reason it was set up as an invite only group was to keep outside opinions out while things were being decided by participants.

I think that fully explains the reason for the privacy of the group. As Karen further stated, Charyti can now remove it when she gets the time.

I read the entire sentence. Did you? It was exclusionary without explanation. Nowhere did it say anything about "paid" and not everyone would know that fact. Expect things like this when you are willing to only provide PART of the necessary information. I don't know any mind readers. Do you?

This forum has been talking about these retreats for years. It's well known that you pay to go to them. I don't feel left out. Some of us are politely asking to see pictures now that it's over. Why make a fuss over the wording?

I agree with Lorie, Cindy, Karen, Jean.......like Lorie said the retreats have been discussed for several years. I don't feel left out either during the planning stages because I knew I wasn't going. If I remember correctly, I think last year the group was closed until the retreat took place. Then they opened to anyone so that we could enjoy seeing the pictures from their time together.

Charyti can open the group when she has time. Hoping those who attended will post their pictures as they get home, unpacked and settled in. I look forward to seeing the pictures too.

Sounds like those who went had a great time.......we'll be waiting to see the pictures.......

I understand your retreats and that they are paid. The title here said "forum get-together" . To most people, that would not necessarily spell "retreat" . And thanks for helping me with grocery money this month!
